Once upon a time, there was a little kitten named Whiskers. Whiskers loved to explore. One sunny afternoon, Whiskers wandered too far from home. She chased butterflies, hopped over puddles, and climbed trees. Soon, she realized she was lost!
Whiskers looked around. The trees were tall, and everything seemed unfamiliar. She felt a little scared.
Just then, she heard a friendly voice. “Are you lost?” It was Benny, the squirrel, sitting on a branch.
“Yes,” said Whiskers. “I don’t know how to get home.”
“Don’t worry!” Benny said. “I know the way. Follow me.”
Whiskers followed Benny through the forest. They passed a field of flowers and crossed a little stream. Finally, they reached a familiar path.
“There’s your house!” Benny said, pointing with his tiny paw.
Whiskers purred with happiness. “Thank you, Benny!” she said, feeling safe again.
And from that day on, Whiskers always remembered to stay close to home when she explored.
